Network Testing and Certification
An essential part of any network installation or maintenance is thorough testing. All cable installed by Scioto Micro Systems is tested using industry-standard equipment from Fluke™ and Agilent™. We ensure that that all cable we install exceeds the applicable TIA or ISO performance standards, and also qualify it for any specific uses (e.g. VoIP phones).
We offer two levels of testing for telecommunication cabling:
- Certification
We certify our installations where desired, ensuring and documenting their compliance with all relevant standards. Certified cabling carries our 25-year warranty. This premium service carries an extra charge due to the extra time taken in testing. - Qualification
The qualification process is much simpler and is included in our normal pricing for data cabling. Each cable run is tested using Fluke equipment that ensures the performance is suitable for its intended purpose. This suitability is documented by the testing equipment.
We also provide a full independent testing, evaluation and certification service on your existing network, old or brand new, and if you wish we will carry out the necessary work to bring your network performance up to today's standards.
